The Future
It is anticipated that, in tandem with their commitment to the principles for
works in regard to heritage
matters,
Bord na Móna will continue to facilitate necessary excavations on their
peatlands. Further excavations will continue in the coming years in other BnM
bogs. These excavations coupled with research and supplemented with
environmental investigations will help build a detailed picture of how humans
interacted with the bogs from the early beginnings right up to modern day.
